Sharing the Joy of Cycling with the community since 2008.
Lander Cycling Club is a non-profit organization based in Lander, Wyoming, located at the foothills of the Wind River Mountain Range. Giving back to the community through grant-funded projects, equipment, and volunteer hours are our top priorities. Our goal is to create a cycling-friendly community by:
-
BUILDING TRAILS FOR EVERYONE
Trails take time to build and maintain. Our membership program provides important support through sustained donations and valuable hours of volunteerism.
-
CELEBRATING OUR COMMUNITY
Community is everything for us! We organize fun, inclusive and engaging annual events like the Jurassic Classic MTB Festival and the Wyo-131 to bring the community together.
-
EDUCATING THE FUTURE GENERATION
We believe in diversity and inclusion -- and we’re not just talking about bikes and riding. We strive to provide opportunities for every kind of riding and every kind of rider.
What We Do In the local community
-
TRAIL ACCESS AND TRAIL BUILDING
We partner with the USFS, BLM, State Parks, Game and Fish, and the City of Lander to help build, protect, and maintain our trails. We've logged over 1400 hours of volunteer service and we're not close to being done.
-
JURASSIC CLASSIC MOUNTAIN BIKING Festival
We love bikes... a lot. We also like games, music, good food, clinics, group shuttles, pancakes, beer, art, and prizes! For all ages and all abilities, all the riding a body can handle over three days!
-
THE WYO-131 GRAVEL RACE _
Race it, ride it, or tour it! This event has something for all abilities. Weave through hoodoos, the high desert, historic mining towns, and subalpine terrain for the ultimate Wyoming cycling experience.
-
fat bikes and winter recreation
We groom winter trails for multi-use recreation in Sinks Canyon and Willow Creek with support from the USFS. In 2023, our volunteer crew groomed over 1,800 miles of trails for skiers and bikers.
-
Community Dirt Jump Park
When an important community asset fell into a state of neglect, a Lander local came home to revitalize the dirt jumps he helped build 15 years ago - with a little help from LOR and... you guessed it, the Lander Cycling Club!
-
